Slated for release for the Fall, 2012 semester, Miller's interactive online textbook will draw on 30 years of research and the best of thousands of live student experiences at the dozens of institutions of higher education that use the model. Experiential Conference for High School Students

Lecturer at a podium As a complement to its dynamic online text, TernionM plans to offer 16- and 17-year old high school students the opportunity to immerse themselves in experiential management during an intensive one-week summer conference, scheduled for July 16-23, 2011 at the Scarritt-Bennett Center in Nashville, TN. The residential conference will offer students the opportunity to get Man reading a book hands-on experience in developing and managing a working organization and insights into the primary drivers of organizational performance. The competitive admission program will provide an excellent chance for students to challenge their teamwork and leadership skills, strengthen their understanding of how successful organizations work and learn about academic and Scarritt Hall career paths that match their talents.

Guest speakers will include Jeffrey R. Cornwall, DBA, Jack C. Massey Chair in Entrepreneurship at Belmont University, named a Top 5 undergraduate entrepreneurship destination by Fortune.

Conference admissions will be competitive and on a first-come, first-served basis. Dr. John Miller

Dr. Miller, now Professor Emeritus at Bucknell University, was Christian R. Lindback Professor of Management until his retirement in 2005. He was visiting professor at École Supérieure de Commerce du Centre in Tours, France and at Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan; Director of Admissions and Student Affairs at Yale University's School of Organization and Management; and a consultant to the American Management Association's American Foundation for Management Research.

Miller also served as Academic Director of the National Urban Fellows programs at Yale and Bucknell. He is a Fellow of the Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

Miller holds an A. B. in Economics (with honors) from Stanford University, a Diplom--Certificate in German Studies from the University of Munich, an MBA from INSEAD (European Institute of Business Administration; Fontainebleau, France) and a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Rochester.

The Journal of Management Education, Newsweek, BusinessWeek and The Chronicle of Higher Education have featured Miller's experiential learning model, and Miller has spoken about it at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, the Academy of Management and the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society.
